Looking for the parents,grandparents,etc of William Thomas BRIDGES born c1813,Wapping,Middx. He married Charlotte MILLS in jun qtr 1841 Hackney reg dist.He is shown as a police inspector in the 1851 UK census and I think the family emigrated to Australia.Any information would be gratefully received
John Milsome Jury, Wapping
Seeking any information about John Milsome Jury, b. 11 Oct 1816, Wapping Middlesex, d. 06 Aug 1902, Taumata, Wairarapa, New Zealand (Age 85 years). Possibly a whaler and coastal trader. It is said that John married Te Aitu, a Maori by the CMS missionary William Williams, at Rakaukaka, Poverty Bay, on 26 October 1840. Te Aitu was probably baptised at the same time, taking the name Huhana (Susan/Susanna), by which she was sometimes known. They settled near Manutuke; John is said to have worked for Williams as a carpenter, building the mission house and church.

Isabella Ann Dick was born in Malaga Court off Nightingale Lane Wapping in November 1806. Her father, James Dick, was a glass polisher. The family had moved to St Luke Old Street Finsbury by 1812. Isabella was living, with her brother Thomas, in Virginia Street Wapping in 1841. Any further information would be welcome.

I've traced the Wiltons back to Michael and Catherine Wilton to the 1861 census where they were living at 5 Red Lion Court, Wapping, with children John and Daniel. Their place of birth is given as Ireland. I would like to add more to my record and would like to hear from anyone who can give me any information on their Irish records and also from the time they arrived in Wapping up to 1861. Using the dates of birth on the 1861 census, Michael Wilton was born about 1837 and Catherine about 1825. I also don't have Catherine's maiden name.

William Lisk born in Wapping (1804-1873) he married Sarah Rebecca Ansell (1802-1885). Children include Sarah (1826-1826), James 1831- unknown and John (1837-1911). In 1871 they were living in St George in the East, East London. if anyone has any information please let me know.

Ellen was born c1836 Wapping..( Father John Waters( Master Mariner)..Mother Elizabeth Pattison.)....married Joseph Robertson (Seaman) Sept 8 1857 St.George in the East Mddx.. they had six children all born in Glasgow viz: ,Alexander 1860,Eliza 1864,Joseph 1866,Minnie,1869,Ada 1870,Robert 1872 Ellen died may 5 1905 in Glasgow.. believed Ellen had a brother George b.c1826 Deptford and a sister Emma.b c1837 Wapping who married John Henry Cochran and they lived in Tendring,Harwich 1881..seeking any info on this family will be welcome

Looking for information about John H Wallace and his family. John was educated in Birmingham and apprendised to Mr James Drake bookseller and law stationer. Parents were John (b.1788 - d.1880 and evidently was an artist of some note) and Elizabeth Wallace (nee Rollason) who were married in Solehill in 1810. John shipped to New Zealand (Aurora) leaving Gravesend in 1839. There were other siblings (William - born Dudley 1815, Robert, Douglas, Marion Wallace) who like John all moved to New Zealand. Evidently there was a Wallace crypt in St Bartholomews chapel, Birmingham - but not sure if it still exists.
