red mail Descendants of John and Eliza Harvey
I am seeking descendants of John and Eliza Harvey, who lived on Well Street in South Hackney at least between 1871 and 1881. They moved to Brixton some time before 1891. Their children included Emily, Eliza, Annie, Alice, Santa, Adelaide (or Adeline), Gertrude, and Frank (my grandfather). Frank moved to the USA late in the nineteenth century. John Harvey appears to have been a manufacturer of gloves and is reported to have been connected with the Dent Glove Company. Anyone know of any such descendants? Many thanks from this Yank.

Archibald Bennet/Besmet, South Hackney
Seeking information on Archibald Bennet (or may be Besmet) who married Selina Deacon in July 1853 at The Parish Church, South Hackney. His address is given as Pritchard's Place and his occupation is Painter. His father's name was also Archibald,occupation Tailor. I can find no further trace of Archibald & Selina after their marriage.

I am researching my maternal family history, my grandmother was nellie susannah BUDD, born in 1890. Her father was John Daniel BUDD, born abt. 1862. He married Rose Mary Ann BROAD june 1883 in West Ham. In 1881 census John lived at 6,Lichfield Rd. Mile End Old Town, his father being Alfred BUDD born abt. 1831 married to Mary Ann Daniel Sept. 1852. Witness to their marriage was Alfred's father William BUDD at the parish church South Hackney. Cannot find William anywhere, can anyone help?

My Great Grandmothers name was Elizabeth Robinson b.abt 1880 in Bow. She married Edward Andrews in 1898 and in 1899 had a daughter Florence Alice Andrews. In 1904 she had a daughter Ivy Stafford with Alfred Stafford a Carman and then another daughter in 1907 Alice Maud Andrews with her husband Edward Andrews. In 1910 she was admitted to Homerton Infirmary by (as the hospital records call him) her Father-in-law George Stafford. She then died in 1910 was buried as Lizzie Stafford - but her burial entry was later changed to call her Sarah Andrews. Both daughters went into an LCC childrens home in Marylebone Unfortunatley I do not know of any Robinson connections yet. If anyone has the slightest hint of possibility of connection to ANY of the above info I'd love to hear from you.

I wonder is anyone else researching Charlotte Constantia Saunders (maiden name Cox) who died in 1870 at Lark Row, Cambridge Heath, South Hackney, aged 65. She was widowed in 1833 by my ggg grandfather, John Williams, and later married Thomas Saunders at St Georges, Camberwell and had three more children; Elizabeth, Charlotte and Thomas.

Phillip Pryor born c 1800 married Hannah Browning born c1801 in 1832 at Limehouse St. Annes,, they had 5 children - John 1833 Elizabeth 1836 Henry 1837 William 1838 and Phillip born 1843. Phillip (1800) was a mariner and in 1841 the family were living at Wick Street South Hackney, moving by 1851 to Morning Lane Buildings Hackney, and finally to 6, Hockley street,Hackney by 1861. Hannah may have been the daughter of Hannah nee ???? and Benjamin Browning unable to find any infor before 1800, and help would be appreciated.
