red mail HARVEY William Harry
The above named was my father, b Oct 1896. I have not been able to find any record of his parents or his birth. Lots of un-nameded Harvey children of course. I suspect he may have been illegitimate as he would never talk of his childhood. He went to sea when he was old enough in the merchant service. All of his Board of Trade documents show his birth year as 1896 and his place of origin as Weybridge which I know is not far from Shepperton. He married in Tasmania in 1921 and lived there for the rest of his life. Any information from anyone who might have any knowledge or suggestions would be most welcome. Best regards Bill
