Thomas Bray 1765-1829. His widow Hannah Sarah née Rosey and 10 children settled in Park Village East where she lived until her death in 1874. Thomas was the nephew of the Countess of Bridport and came of a wealthy family of silk weavers. Hannah was a maid, daughter of a hat maker and much younger than her husband. They married a week before the birth of their second child. I am descended from Frederick Richard Bray, their eldest legitimate son. He married an heiress Frances Mary Spackman in 1836, and they had 11 children. They lived at 28 Queens Road, later renamed 14 Regents Park Road. Their 8th child Charles 1853-1944 married Emily Sophia Webster and they moved to Highgate.
