red mail William Ashley 1836 Unknown married with Elizabeth.
Hi there, was searching information on my 3x great grandfather William who was from the London area and who was married with Elizabeth, surname yet unknown, who originally came from Brighton according to the census records on her. The problem with William is that there are more than one he could be. There was a William who was the son of John and Ann in St Giles Camberwell and a William who was the son of John and Jane in the Bethnal Green area and on different census the same William puts both towns as his original home town, so it's impossible to triangulate which William he is accurately. Presumably, the other William died in infancy as only one appears on the census records after 1841. It's just working out which William was the correct one. Also, does anyone know what his wife Elizabeth's maiden name was please? Thankyou!
red mail HARWOOD, Sarah: 25 April 1880- 18 August 1953 married CARTER Louis John.
Hello, was looking for information on HARWOOD, Sarah. She married Louis John Carter in September 1903 at St Luke's Hackney, and her father is put as John Henry HARWOOD a Chairmaker. A Sarah Harwood, 1, also turns up in the 1881 census with her father John and mother Sarah in 7 Thurlow pl, Hackney, whilst another Sarah Harwood turns up in 1891 and 1901 with her father John a Chairmaker and mother Alice. This Sarah Harwood is the same age and also Hackney. The marriage between Sarah and Louis was witnessed by HARWOOD, Robert, presumably a brother or uncle. In the 1901 census, there's a sibling Robert. And he's also in the 1891 census. A Robert Harwood does not turn up in the 1881 census, although this Robert Harwood would have been too Young anyway. It's likely that Sarah was the daughter of John and Alice, and the 1881 census was either another Sarah or was a mistake in the record archive. Certainly there's no record of a John Harwood marrying a Sarah anything within the local area at a reasonable time frame to their kids' respective ages and the records aren't written by the actual people but by an archivist reading the census responses and thus it's possible they wrote Sarah as the mother by mistake. With that being said, all this is a very weird family tree branch as its really quite contradictory. All that we know is that Sarah 1880-1953 Harwood was the daughter of a Chairmaker John and either Sarah or Alice and that she married Louis in 1903. Louis was the son of John and Elizabeth and that family tree is easy. Any help with Sarah would be appreciated thank you.

When he died in 1921 they were living at 23 Adley Street. He was a fishmonger. I am unable to find him in the 1901 census and want to know if they had any children and what other addresses they might have lived at. If anyone can help I would be very grateful as I live in France and it is not easy to look at registers from there.
