red mail Pearce family in early 19thC
This is an England, UK entry, concerning Pearces principally in west Middlesex UK in the early 19thC, largely revolving around the Bedfont and Hounslow gunpowder mills on the banks of the Crane river. Bedfont-born Ann Pearce (1827-1888) married Hanwell-born Thomas Roberts ROUSE (1827-1859) in Feltham in 1848. Ann was the fifth of eight known children of James Pearce (born Buckinghamshire c 1784) and his wife Ann (maiden name unknown). I am interested in any further information on these Pearces. James was a labourer based in Feltham, sometimes in agriculture and sometimes at the Bedfont gunpowder mill. All of his children who reached maturity appear to have been literate. The children were Sarah (1814-); Henry (1822-); James (1824-); Elizabeth (1825-); Ann (1827-1888); John (1828-); Charles (1829-) and Frances (1835-).

red mail Hughes Feltham
I am looking for information on Walter Henry Hughes and his father Edward Stephen Hughes. All I know is that Walter married Alice Amelia Goddard (nee Young) in 1914. Both were widow and widower living next door to each other at 5 and 6 Staines Road North Fetham. In 1911 census an Edwadr Hughes was loding with Charkes Young (Alice's father) in one of the houses. It is likely this is Walter's Dad. He was listed as born in Cantebury. But I haven't had any luck tracing either of them further back than 1911. Can anyone help? Walter was also known as Tarby and was an Ironsmith/Ironmonger.
