Hi, Richard was born c.1900. He married Mary Elizabeth Hyman (Polly). They lived in Tennyson Road, Ashford, Middlesex and had four children Nancy, Gordon (known as Peter), Betty and Terry. Richard was killed in a road traffic accident in 1963. This is all I know about my maternal grandfather - all I have is a copy of his death certificate. Does this 'ring a bell' with anyone?

I am researching a maternal line in my family tree who were in Ashford Middlesex as from circa 1860. They were William Alfred Darling a straw dealer from Horton, Bucks who married Mary Ann Simpson in Iver Bucks in 1861. There were 3 children all bornStaines/Ashford. William Darling b1865 married Edith Grace Earles. Joseph Edwin Darling b1872 married Sarah Sandles 1892(son Joseph Ernest Darling 1895-1915) and Elizabeth Darling (my maternal GGrandmother) married George Ireland 1903. Mary was later widowed and remarried John Dorset in 1883. He later died and she was running a sweet shop with Elizabeth in Station Road Ashford in 1901. Any connections. Thank you.

I am anxious to trace the Old Alresford, Aldershot, Farnham, Godalming and Ashford Newells. I am descended from George Newell born Ashford 1873 whose siblings are; William, Thomas, James, Jane, Henry, Robert and John. George married Charlotte Bradley in St. Andrews parish church Wraysbury in 1896, his father Robert was from Godalming. Georges children include; Cecil, George, William, Walter and Reginald. Any information gratefully received.
