red mail Scully
My great grandfather, Michael Scully was sent to England - I think c1873 as a child with "Uncle Paddy" because his widowed father was remarrying. He joined the army in 1881 from the Blackburn/ Burnley area. Am looking for his parents/any other family in Ireland. 1911 census gives Kilmovee as his birthplace.

Hi, I am looking for info about my gg grandmother's parents born 1820ish in County Mayo, most probably in Knockbrack, a townland of Kilmovee. She was Bridget LYDON, m. Michael GROARKE in 1869 in Kilmovee. Her father was James LYDON, a "small landholder". I don't know who her mother was. Hope this rings a bell to someone...:-) Regards, Nina
