King family in Cloonmore, Claremorris, as well as Curraby family in/near Bohola in Killedan Parish, Co. Mayo
My great-grandfather, Peter Gallagher (born circa 1846 in Carrownteeaun, near Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, Parish of Killedan) married Bridget King on 26 April 1869, in Claremorris, Co. Mayo (Kilcolman parish). Her parents were Nicholas King and Margaret (Peg) Curraby. The King family lived in (Lower) Cloonmore townland in Kilcolman parish, according to Griffith's Valuation in 1856. The Curraby's were apparently from Killedan parish, where the Gallagher's also lived, and Peter and Bridget Gallagher raised their family back in Carrrownteeaun in Killedan parish. Interested in learning more about the King's and Curraby's (Gallagher's as well). Any information appreciated, and I can share info about the family after that marriage if desired (in the US and in Ireland).
