red mail Toker/ Collins
Hi I am looking for any details on Captain Edward Toker of the steamship the Leinster Lass. He is my great great great great grandfather. He married Ellen Bagnall and my great great great grandmother, his daughter, married Mary Toker September 1859 at St Peters RC church. She had a sister Jane Toker who married in 1868/9 February to a McKenna. I have hit a roadblock as cannot find any details of Capt Edward Tokers family or Marys husband Patrick Collins apart from him formerly being of the Imperial Hotel Drogheda. It sounds like he was staying there. He had money and went to Liverpool to run two hotels on the docks at Mersey st Liverpool. Any McKennas who have any details of the Tokers or Bagnalls or Of Patrick himself gratefully received. Is there a family bible out there?? Would love to hear- also does anyone know of a photo or painting of the Captain? He was quite prominent in the town. Thanks Delphi

red mail Lawless Fegan Fagan
Looking for information on my great-grandmother, MaryJane Lawless. She married Patrick Fegan in St. Mary's in Dublin in May of 1887. The left for the US shortly after that and ended up in Chicago. My husband's father, William Reilly was a son of Thomas Stephen Reilly (County Louth) and Catherine Tobin (County Meath). Thomas father was Michael Reilly and his wife was Brigitte Rice. What we know is that Michael had at least three other siblings that left for United States. He was a well known horse trainer. Back in 1975 an uncle of my husband was in Ireland on vacation and ran into a green grocer with the same surname and while talking with each other, they realized that indeed they were related. Alas, this uncle never wrote any information down and did not take any pictures of the place. If any of this sounds familiar, please help me link up the new world with the old. Thank you
red mail James Larkin, Railway Terrace, Drogheda.

James jnr. married Margaret Loonam, and lived with his family, including my mother, in Bray Co. Wicklow. He was a railway engine driver, and we believe his father also worked in some capacity for the railway. Margaret Reilly came from America, either as a returned emigrant or as an immigrant to Ireland. Her father according to a family story emigrated from Galway at the time of the great famine to somewhere in America. We don't know if this was to the US or somewhere else, nor if Margaret was born in Ireland or abroad.
