red mail Rose
Hi, I am searching for my Rose family, supposedly from Ballinalee, Co. Longford. Specifically, I have a William ROSE married to a Roseanna BEEHAN or BEEKAN, who had children named John Henry Rose (c1839), William (c1840), Roseanna(c1853) and Henry G (c1855). Known data is that John Rose became Revd John Henry Rose of Clerkenwell in London. First, Church of Ireland and then Ch of Eng. William Rose emigrated to New Zealand and became a goldminer in Thames. Family rumour is that they were titled, and that one of William's sons stayed with these relatives in Ireland during WW1. The 1881 UK Census has the widowed mother Roseanna, the daur Roseanna and the son Henry G staying with John Henry and his family. Roseanna is listed as "living on her own means". Any help would be fabulous. Carrie
