red mail Grantham (Syston) Surname Johnstone - (Syston - Lincolnshire)
Hi all, I am hoping someone on this WEB page is able to assist me with some information. I am looking for the Parents of my Great Great Grandmother, She is recorded on her Marriage certificate as Mary Ann Johnston, she married Charles Pell by Banns at St Anne's Syston on the 22 October 1850. Her age is 23 years which would mean according to one record was born in 1826/27 at Syston. On the marriage Certificate her Father was shown as Joseph Johnston a Willower! I have done several searches for the family on various sites and the 1841 UK census. With no luck. All the records in Australia where she died in 1865 says her maiden name was Johnson not Johnston. I would tend to believe that the marriage certificate would be correct unless the surname was originally spelt wrong by the Minister?. For info her Husband also came form the same Village. Just for more info, her Husband and her would not have appeared in the 1851 census as they had already left for Australia, however I find no record of her parents in 1851 either? Would appreciate any assistance. Regards Ted

red mail Feles HOMERSLEY William CHIPPINGDALE - (Washingborough - Lincolnshire)
We are a group of CHIPPINDALL descendants in Australia trying to find out more about these two people who lived at Heightington until William sold it in 1651. Feles HOMERSLEY was born in Kingsley, Staffordshire in 1613 and was buried at Washingborough in 1663. William CHIPPINDALL was born at Barton under Needwood, Staffordshire, in 1610 and was buried at Washingborough in 1670. We gather they were married before 1635 and had a son, Thomas, in 1645. We would love to know for certain when and where they married; when and where they had any other children. It is possible that Feles was William's second wife. Any help will be gratefully received.
