red mail Thomas Kershaw - (Burringham - Lincolnshire)
I'm looking for any help to solve a little mystery about Thomas' children. A little back story on Thomas. He was born in 1834 (not sure of exact date) and was baptised on 20 August 1834 in Althorpe, Lincolnshire. His father was William Kershaw and Hannah Leamon. He married Ann Elizabeth Allison in 1858 in Redbourne, Lincolnshire. The question I have is in recent conversation with another Kershaw researcher she emailed me Thomas' death certificate (1906 in Australia) and in the column for children it listed all his living children: James William, Allison, Eliza and Henry. Below the names of his children also listed is '3 males decesased'. We only know of 2 deceased children by his death in 1906. I know one child died in 1902 (Joseph) and another child (George) wasn't present on the passenger list to Australia (1883), so I can only assume he died between census' as we haven't been able to find him after 1861. The third child we have not been able to find. We know he is male and he didn't come to Australia in 1883 and hasn't appeared on any census'. The other children were born in the Glanford Brigg district and baptised in the Althorpe district. Hopefully someone can help me solve this mystery. Thanks Dave

John Frederick Coulson born 1900, baptised at Dorrington 7th March 1900. Mother listed as Martha Alice Coulson, no father added and JFC annotated as illegitimate. Had younger sister Alice Ann. All three on 1901 census as living in house of William Blades, address 'Fen', Martha's occupation was 'Housekeeper'. Alice Ann later 'adopted' and given name of Susan Mann. Think their mother married Walter Miller in 1908. There may be other siblings prior to marriage. Any information about John Frederick Coulson eagerly awaited.
