Henry Muddiman whereabouts 1846-1861?
Henry Muddiman married Ann Hardwick in Lutterworth in 1840. His wife appears in the census of 1841 living with her parents in Polesworth with a young child of 4 months, Thomas. Henry does not appear in any census until I discovered him in Liverpool in 1861 married to Harriet Jones and he described himself as a bachelor on his marriage certificate. Where was he between the above years?

He was my Great Great Grandfather. He was Carpenter & Joiner/Master Decorator between 1851 and 1902 and aged 74 lived at 193 New Street, Lutterworth. He was also a stonemason. His sons JH King and James both played cricket for Leicestershire, as did my Grandfather John William King (b. 1908). I would like information on the date of his marriage to Ann and who James' parents were. Any information would be greatly received. Rachel
red mail William Mawson -
I have a relative in the 1881 census living in Church Street and after much deciphering it seems they were a mineral water manufacturer employing 3/4 people. Was this water or fizzy drinks? And was this typical of the area. He was previously employed as a photographers assistant, - nearby presumably so could anyone identify what the studio may have been. Seems a strange change of profession and wondering if he may have married into or inherited the business?
