red mail William Mayfield Shaw
William Mayfield Shaw is listed as a scholar at Loughborough School in the 1881 census. Is there information about his time there? By 1888 he must have been in the US because he voted in 1892. He may have returned to England to sign up for the Dragoon Guards in 1890. (unfit for service- over height) Or am I confusing 2 William Mayfield Shaws? Born 1867 Boston, Lincolnshire. 1871 census with Parents Thomas and Mary Shaw. In the US had 2 children, Claude Mayfield 1895 and my Grandpa, William John 1898. William Mayfield Shaw disappeared in 1899.
