red mail BATES
James Larans George BATES married Rebecca CROSS on the 9th of December 1833 at Breedon on the Hill. I believe "George died in 1838 and Rebecca in 1839, leaving their son Andrew to be brought up by his "CROSS" grandparents. George may have been born in 1808 at Breedon but I have not confirmed this. Can anyone help trace his history please?

red mail Joseph Brooks - 1834
Have a problem with Joseph`s father and age. On various Census shows different ages. Son Joseph was born Breedon on the Hill in 1834 and I have found a marriage probably of his father Joseph to Elizabeth Hardy in 1830. Now Joseph senior on 1841 census is shown as age 40 but on 1851 as age 55 and on 1861 as age 74. This makes his birth somewhere between 1787 and 1801. Can anyone enlighten me.
