Hi, I have Thomas Power (Master Mariner) and Elizabeth Jeffery move their family to Liverpool in about 1858, from Plymouth. Their children were: Thomas Mathew Power (1843) and he moved to Chile in about 1862-5. Nora Kathleen Garnett (nee Power)(1949) visited Valparaiso, Chile in 1866 onboard her father’s ship, Worral; married in St Nicholas Church, Liverpool in February 1871. Frederick Ernest Power (about 1854) married in Herne Hill, London in 1880. Harry Bailey Power (1857) died in Liverpool in 1875. Hiram Alfred Jeffery Power (1858), married in Toxteth Park in 1884, died in Liverpool in 1932. My grandfather was from Hiram; and Frances Tarrant Fenton (1859). He was born 14 May 1891 and moved to New Zealand on the SS Ionic in 1910. I have been unable to find Mathew, Elizabeth, Frederick, and Hiram in the 1881 Census. Would love to make contact with any relatives in England.

Martha Ann Williams Duncliffe (c1868-1919) born in Lancashire to Frances Duncliffe (c1844-1895), father not listed. Frances is also known as Fanny. Frances married John Williams, mercantile clerk and later John Marsh, coppersmith, although neither is listed as Martha's father. Frances' parents were John Duncliffe and Ann Williams. This is a curious family we are having difficulty making sense of. Any possible connections of interest.

Henry was killed in a docking accident in 1817 before Francis was born. Henry may have been from Ireland. Francis' Ormerod siblings were Rebecca, Joshua, Sarah, Gwen and William. We do not know the names of his Free siblings.

I am looking for any Halpin relatives who lived in Heywood from the 1870s onwards. I believe I have connections to a family who were residing at SPRING GARDENS Heap - names include Mary Ann (head), Mary, Christine (later Regan), William, Ann, Thomas and John Halpin. In the 1881 census a Bernard Halpin is now head of the household and they are residing at 46 HARDFIELD STREET Heap. My ancestor James Halpin went on to marry Elizabeth Greenhalgh in 1894 and have three children. His occupation was that of wood sawyer and he owned a business in Heywood. I would be grateful for a reply from anyone who may know anything about this family.

I am looking for information about the family of WILLIAM ROBINSON, b abt 1810-1825. He married ELIZABETH CONSTANTINE, 30.6.1845, in Ashton-u-Lyne. His father was THOMAS ROBINSON. Both THOMAS and WILLIAM were stonemasons.William and Elizabeth had oneson that I know of, TOM ROBINSON, b 1855, SALFORD.He married ALMA MARY ELIZABETH BOND, of IRELAND, 1874 in Mexborough. ELIZABETH CONSTANTINE is the dau of GEORGE CONSTANTINE and BETTY ALDRED. Elizabeth's brother was JOSEPH CONSTANTINE, a Charteristwho was deported to Australia 1849. It is possible that both families were involved in the Charterist movement.

Info sought on John TATTERSALL (b. circa 1849, in Lancashire, probably near Bacup) and his wife, a Pathana (probably) YEADON. They had 2 children Elizabeth Ann (b.1871 d.1879) and Jane (b.1876). He apparently emigrated to Western Australia in 1877 and became a lighthouse keeper and married twice more.

Isaac Langstroth was married in 1873 in Oxford County, Ontario. As this is the first mention of him found in Canadian records we assume that he emigrated in the early 1870's. His marriage certificate says he was 21 years of age, born in Lancashire and the son of Robert Langstroth and Mary Lawrence. Any information on this man will be appreciated
