red mail Davenport House Tyldesley
I am trying to find out the history of this house in Squires Lane Tyldesley, when built, owners, occupiers etc
On 21st April 1942 my gt aunt Edith Lizzie Fountain was murdered at her home 17 Factory Street Tyldesley Lancashire. Also murdered on that day at that address was her lodger William Phoenix. The other lodger Jack Wiseman was convicted of both murders and sentenced to life imprisonment in either Rampton or Broadmoor. I have details of the inquest, plus the two death certificates. I am wondering if William (Bill) Phoenix has any living relatives who may be interested. I do not know where he came from, what employment he had, and I would be interested to know where he is buried.
