Ben WAKELIN was born in Croughton,Northants in 1868 and moved with his parents Joseph and Elizabeth to Stubbins in the early 1870s. He later lived in Shuttleworth and was a baker. He married Betty and had two sons Charles and Harold. Harold was killed in action in 1916. Charles married MARY FELL in 1915. Any information on this family welcome.

I am looking for info on my 3rd Great Grandmother Sally HAWORTH born 1807 in Shuttleworth, her father was Robert HAWORTH born 1762 in Bury who Married Sally WHITTAKER born 1760 in Royton, they married 1798. Sally had a son Edmund HAWORTH PILLING born 1827 in Shuttleworth. Sally never married Edmund's father John PILLING, and later when Edmund married he dropped his father's name and went under just Edmund HAWORTH. Edmund later went on to marry Hannah LORD in 1850. Any help with information on Sally HAWORTH, Edmund HAWORTH, John PILLING, Robert HAWORTH and Sally WHITTAKER, please contact me thanks.

Researching the family of Oliver Holden c.1808 of Scout Moor Shuttleworth. He married Alice ? Their children were Ellis b.1838,William 1840, Betty b.1844, Alice b.1846, Sarah b.1853. Oliver was a quarry man on the 1851 census and a cotton weaver on the 1861 census.

Isaac Leach b. c1810 and his wife Alice Greenhalgh lived in Affetside and Walmersley-Shuttleworth, children: James b.c1833, Jacob c1836 (marr. Susannah Ratcliffe, Ann 1841( marr. Charles Marsden), Abraham 1843 and William 1845( marr. Ellen Howorth). All children had the surname of Greenhalgh although Isaac and Alice were living together in 1841 already.
