May have found William in his parent's home, listed as a widower age31.Any help with this family appreciated.
red mail Jabez Darwell
I am searching for my gt gt gt grandfather, Jabez Darwell, who when marrying in Wigan PC gave his place of birth as Parr, St Helens in 1789. He was a blacksmith as were many of his progeny. There is a good chance, that he apprenticed with his father, though, this is pure speculation. I am trying to find him,his siblings and his parents(even further if possible). Was there a census in 1791? Was there a Trade Directory in 1790,1800? There may be one problem, when getting married he was Registered as Jabez Darrah (though he lived and died as Jabez Darwell. The entry may well have had more to do with a Blacksmiths accent and a Registrars hearing! I would be grateful for any information relevant to this and/or any other Darwells.
Anyone have any information at all on the Kenwrights of Parr (St Helens),Particulary Daniel Kenwright (born 1810),or his wife Elizabeth Fisher, many thanks in anticipation.
