Georgina Alice Copland
My wife is searching for information about her great aunt, Georgina Alice Copland born in 1877 in Openshaw. Her parents were William and Catherine (nee Williams) Copland. In the 1911 census she was still living at home at No.1 Greer Street, Openshaw. After marriage in 1872 the parents lived in Middlesborough before moving to Openshaw. We cannot find a record of a marriage or the death of Georgina. We would be grateful for any information. Ken

Hi can anyone help with information about William Seddon? William married Elizabeth Ann Davy on 28 Apr 1880. William was employed as in Railway clerk. He originally resided in Wigan, Lancashire, was a lay preacher at Lees St Congregational and one of his daughters was born in Heaton Moor. He migrated to Australia with his wife and five of his children, 3 children remained in the UK, one of them being Ethel, mother of Harold Wilson, Prime Minister. red mail Thatcher family tree
I am researching my family tree on my dad's side but to date have not had any luck in tracing any of his relations. His name was Edward Thatcher Born in Openshaw Manchester 20 January 1915 to William Henry Thatcher, his mother was Sarah Ann (Ne Waters). I believe they were born 1888 (thereabouts). Dad joined the RAF anad was posted to Cambridgeshire. He met my late mum Dorothy Joan (ne Smith) Date of birth 17 November 1921 in Peterborough where he spent the rest of his life after coming out of the RAF. I have recollections of dad saying that some of his relatives emigrated to America unfortunately I do not have any dates when this would have happened, I can only assume it was the 40's. Can anybody help??
