Hi Would like to contact any descendants of Joseph and Emma (nee Altoft) BELL who resided in Middleton 1890-1930's Their children were Walter Bell (b 1899) and wife Fanny Cooke their son Walter b 1939, Harold Bell b 1903, Ethel Bell b 1907 (m. Thomas Turner 1937) and Lily b 1911 (m. Ernest Hornby) Lily's children were Jean (m. John Nangle and emigrated Australia 1966 with children John and Beverley) and Teresa.

Looking for Josiah Turner, born around 1789, his wife Elizabeth, and their girls Ruth and Mary. Ruth was christened at St. Leonards in 1827. Elizabeth's last name could have been Taylor, as that is the middle name of another of one of their daughters, Elizabeth. They moved to Eccles, and were buried at Barton Wesleyan. Born in Middleton about 1820's. Had a son James William Heywood, born 1850 and died 17/06/1910 in Heywood. James was married to a Mary Hannah Lee. They had eight children.
