J. Livingstone
Looking for info on a James b/1831 and Ellen b/1829 Livingstone. both born in Ireland They lived at Station Cottage, Netherton, (Merseyside) Lancashire, England. He was a Railway Pointsman
William Lafield born 1808 in Liverpool and emigrated to Australia in 1833, according to his death certificate (Rockhampton Queensland 1883). No separate evidence yet found to support the birth date, birth place or emigration dates given in his death certificate. Because Liverpool was a frequent departure point for Northern Irish emigration, he may have Irish origins. No Australian immigration document has been found, so the name may also have been changed, either before leaving or after arrival. His children used Lafield, Larfield and Layfield surnames, so maybe they didn't know either! I'm seeking any information on this elusive ancestor.

red mail Parents of John Joseph Malone
Looking for any family ties to John Joseph Malone, born July 1866 in Liverpool, Lancashire. Other previous family had a birthplace listing for him as Whitehorse, England, but I can't seem to validate that is or was a valid place at all. In searching, I found a Birth Index for him in Liverpool, and feel this 'might' be him. His Colorado death certificate, in which he died on Feb 3, 1901, lists a father as Michael Malone, and a mother of Ellen Malone. Ellen's maiden name is very hard to read on the death certificate, but it looks like it could either be Meach, Meech, or the last letter might even be a K. John J Malone married one Margaret Celina McQuillan in what appears to be 1886. The 1900 US Census has them IN the United States for 14 years, and has their years married as 14 years as well. It is hard to tell if they were married here in the States, or in England prior to coming to the USA the same year. I have searched, but cannot seen to find any marriage information on them. John and Margaret had several children, these include Phillip, Michael Clifford, William Joseph, Anna Mae, Belle, John Gilbert, Ella Bernice and Clara. Michael, Phillip, William and Anna were born in Michigan, and Belle, John , Ella and Clara were all born in Creede, Colorado. However, they do list, on the 1900 US Census, that Michael was born in Pennsylvania. I do have a Michigan birth certificate that shows a Michael born in May of 1889 with John and Margaret as his parents. Margaret's obituary does say that she came to the US at the age of 13, and has her living in Pennsylvania and Colorado. The 1900 US Census says she came over in 1886. Her estimated Birth year is 1870. Hoping someone might recognize this family from another branch and may be able to help fill in some details. Very willing to exchange any information I have as well.

red mail FARRALL & KELLEHER (Nora M & family)
I am trying to trace descendants of "Andrew Hodge FARRALL" born in Liverpool in 1892 and I believe he died in Liverpool North in 1949. He originally married "Emily JOHNSON" of Kirkdale in 1915, however they lost a son and Divorced afterwards. Andrew then married "Anne HARRISON" in 1928. Their children were: "Andrew William FARRALL" who was born in 1926, "Norman FARRALL" born in 1929 and "William Sydney FARRALL" born in 1931. Anne Farrall probably died in 1976 in Liverpool. I believe that "Andrew W Farrall" may have married "Nora M KELLEHER" in Liverpool North in 1950 and that he probably died in 1984 in West Lancs. As yet I have been unable to trace any family and/or any marriages of Norman of William Sydney FARRALL (with the exception of a Birmingham marriage for a William S Farrall in 1958) and the chances are that there will be people out there who know them. I would be very grateful for any information leading to the contact of the Farrall family. My late mother was a Farrall, "Andrew Hodge Farrall" was her uncle.

Daley/Daly & Fearns/Fearnes/Ferns & McGaa/Mc
Looking for Catherine Daley or McGaa or even McGee who married Thomas Fearns. I sent for thier marriage certificate, but it came back as Catherine McGaa, not Daley as listed on the BMD. Father John McGaa, occupation carter. Thomas Fearns is a hawker, Father John Fearns aslso a hawker. This is the correct marriage as the residents address, Banaster Street, Liverpool for Thomas is correct. Both are minors. It seem there is no marriage cert for a Thomas Fearns and a Catherine Daley. Son John's baptism was 1855 to Thomas Fearns and Catherine Daley. Godparents James Fearns and Mary Ann McGaa. I have the daughter Margaret Fearns born 1858, mother is Catherine McGawan, but her baptism says mother is Catherine Daly. Thomas Fearns born 1860, mother is Catherine McGathern, but both children born at 37 Banaster Street, Liverpool. A daughter Catherine born 1864, Parents Thomas and Catherine Fearns (no maiden name), died 3 months later, at the same address. Has anyone any ideas how to sort out which is the correct maiden name for Catherine and who her parents are and if she had any other brothers and sisters. I belive both families came from Ireland. I have only just discovered my 3xGreat Grandfather's name (JOSEPH NEILE) and that he was a Tailor. I am presuming he was born & lived in Liverpool, as this is where all his subsequent descendants lived. However I can find nothing about him on any Census or BMD lists on His son (Cyrus) William Neile was born about 1849 and he went on to be a successful tenor singer with the Christy Minstrels in London, but his career was sadly cut short by his early death in 1874. Ireland; and John SCANLAN/SCANDLIN/SCANDLAND, son of Lawrence, a stonemason if writing read correctly - he was b. ca 1821, prob. Ireland. They married 10 Oct 1838 at Saint Nicholas (C of E) Church, Liverpool; she was about 16, and 5 months pregnant; and he about 17. Acc to family tradition, she was disowned by her family. It is not known what happened to Ann Jane. Letitia (Montgomery) Scanlin died 25 Feb 1845, Liverpool. Death date and place for John unknown. This young family is in the 1841 census for Liverpool, but not in any subsequent censuses as far as I can see. Families of their parents not found in any census. No clue as to where either partner may have come from in Ireland.
