Looking for family links to John May, painter, born Blackburn 1862/63. His father is shown on marriage cert as William May but I have not been able to confirm this is correct. I have a photo taken in a Blackburn studio with notes on the back confirming John as a lad with his mother (un-named)and Margaret Ellen (believed to be an older sister to John). Family research
My Grandmother was born in Blackburn Clayton Le Moors Lancashire. Her birth certificate records her as being born on 3 Edward Street on the 26th of September 1888. I am very curious and I think it would add flavor to the family records if I was able to get a copy of the newspaper of that day/time covering local Blackburn (if there is one). I would like to have as commplete an issue as possible along with anything else from the area same time period ie as directory info etc. NUMBER 2 Item that would taste especially good would be to get an old map clearly showing this address I dreaming?
