red mail Fleming
Greetings from Victoria, Australia. I am researching John and (his wife) Honora Fleming. They arrived in Adelaide, South Australia in 1840 aboard the ship "Thirteen" accompanied by their children Sarah, Bridget, Eliza, John, Mick, Catherine and Honora. John Fleming was a stonemason and aged 46 at the time of their arrival. Honora Fleming (their daughter) married Stephen McNamara in 1859 at Cudlee Creek SA - on their wedding certificate Honora Fleming's birthplace is Kilkenny. If anyone has information about this family and its roots in Ireland I would gratefully appreciate any assistance. Many thanks in advance. Karen
red mail FISHER family of Glenmore
I have Susan Fisher bp 17 Nov 1818 (of Ballycrony) at Glenmore R.C.; father Thomas Fisher, mother Anastatia Murphy. They were married at Glenmore on 23 Nov 1812 (of Bussherstown). There were two older sisters and two younger brothers of Susan born of the marriage, and baptised at Glenmore. I am seeking Susan Fisher b.c 1819, supposedly a sister of Susan. Susan Fisher (definitely) and Sarah Fisher (?) departed from Cork in 1835 for London prior to boarding the "Charles Kerr" bound for Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) in July 1835. It is possible/likely that Susan and Sarah were not related - and that Sarah may not have been born in Ireland. Any help in finding Sarah in Ireland would be most gratefully received. Jay
