Cosham. I am just starting out tracing my great grandfather George William Cosham married Elizabeth Ann Gunn 1892 in the parish of Lamberhurst. They had 3 children Thomas, George and Sophie or Sophia. We know Thomas married Bridget Cantwell, where?,they had 2 children Mary (Molly) and Kathleen, George married Annie Boorman and had we think 5 - 7 children, Irene, Elaine, Dolly, George, Stanley L and we think a Colin & Bessie, not 100% sure on the last 2. Sophie married George Piper, not sure if there were any children, but Sophie died in Wadhurst 25/5/1982 and George her husband died approx 1967 in Wadhurst. I am really stuck on any information on my Great Grandparents, any clues would be wonderful, If I could hopefully find some living relatives that may have photos/information, would be great I could hopefully get over the brick wall, I seem to go round in circles. Hi, I m trying to trace information about my 7th great grandfather, Robert Bowles (or Bouls), who was born obout 1660 in Lamberhurst. He married a SARAH CROCKFORD (or Crokford) on 17th October, 1687 in Lamberhurst. They had three children, Elizabeth (b1688), Sarah (b1689) and John (b1690). I am trying to trace my family tree or find members still living my Father was Louis Edward Newman known as "Lou" I visited his cousin in the 60,s with my father I think he was known as Alf across the road was a poultry farm I think the people were also relations, my fathers parents were called John and Emma I am unsure when his father died it was pre or during the war and his mother died in the 60,s.There was also a cousin named Victor I hope someone can help.

My great grandfather, Joseph Fruen, came to the US from England. According to the 1860 census in Monroe County, Arkansas, USA, he was born in London. London is a large place. I have no idea where to start looking. I don't even have his parents' names. The Mormon Church's Family History Center, on-line, shows a Joseph Fruen born in the right time frame in Thanet, Kent and christened in St John's. I came to this village because it is in Kent.
