The 1871 Census shows my great grandfather CORNELIUS EDWARD BOLTON as the landlord of the DUKE of MARLBOROUGH pub. His son EDWARD (TED) BOLTON worked in the village as a farrier and his other son WILLIAM BOLTON (a blacksmith) possibly also worked in the near vicinity. I would welcome any information about the family, the pub or the forge. I have also been unable to discover the maiden name of Corneius's wife,JANE. Also resident at the pub in 1871 was a servant named LOUISA SPITTLES (I add this in the hope that it may assist someone else).

I have tracked George back to Joseph Court and Susannah Laker but have no details as to Matilda`s forbears or precise details of her marriage to George.Her family interests me. Can anyone assist. I am looking for any information on Curd family in Yalding, Kent c 1835. Elizabeth S Curd married William Davis in Hastings 10 Jul 1858. I believe Elizabeth was born in Yalding about 1835. I would particularly appreciate any information confirming her date of birth. I have received information (not verified) that her parents were James Curd and Ann (ms Shoebridge)

I have a Charlotte (maiden name possibly FOWLER?) in my family tree who was born in Yalding, Kent c1833. She married Samuel HALL between 1861 & 1871. There's a possible marriage in Marylebone London in 1870 that could be theirs. Samuel was born in Romford, Essex and was a musician /instrument maker. They'd moved to Birmingham by 1871 although Samuel was already living there with the rest of his siblings. I would like to know if anyone has a Charlotte FOWLER from Yalding, Kent married to Samuel HALL in their tree or that may have vanished off their radar?
