red mail Goldsmith/Turner
Edward Goldsmith and Anne Turner were married at Wateringbury on 12 February 1801. Edward was from Birling and Anne was from Wateringbury. I know they had children at nearby Ryash (Sarah 1804, Thomas 1806, Harriet 1809 and James 1811). I would be grateful for any information on Edward and Anne or of any other children they may have had.
Wateringbury / West Farleigh
White family: I am interested in the White family, farmers of Wateringbury and West Farleigh. Henry and Sarah White lived at The Lodge Wateringbury; and had three children, Mabel b1870, Lancelot Sampson b1872, and Montague b1878. In 1890 Mabel married John Lee White who was the eldest son of J Samuel White the famous shipbuilder of Cowes Isle of Wight, they lived at Seafield, Ryde IoW. I am researching the Vauxhall car they owned March 1905 to c1910/12. I believe that Lancelot, (sometimes shown as Launcelot) went to USA and Montague ran the farms. No trace of family in the area now. There was an enquiry from a descendant of Lancelot Sampson White on this site but the address was out of date and our emails bounced back. John Lee White subsequently lived in Dorset where he died in 1940.
