red mail Amy Hilda Ladd
I too am looking for the marriage of Amy Hilda Ladd and Percy Blake. The only conclusion I can come to after years of searching is that they were actually not married but living together and that she changed her name by deed poll. Alternatively I know Percy was in the 1st Hertfordshire regiment in WW1 so it is just vaguely possible that they married abroad without parental approval. If anyone out there can throw any light whatsoever on this scenario then I will be thrilled to hear it. As Amy was part of my extended family I really want to know what hapened. If they were alienated from their families then I wonder why Amy's sister was the one to register her death in 1964. The plot thickens!!!
Amy Hilda Ladd
Amy was b 1880 at Walmer, died Bordon Hampshire 1964.. last traced before that in 1901 census at Bramshaw Hants. Her Will shows her as lawful wife and relict of Percy Blake but can find no trace of her marriage or on 1911 census. She and Percy (unmarried) were both working for the Eyre-Matcham's in Bramshaw in 1901 and he is at Hinton Admiral Stables in 1911. Any help appreciated

red mail Thomas Seymour
I am trying to find information on a Thomas Seymour listed in the 1881 English Census as being a sergeant based at ‘South Barracks’, Royal Marine, Walmer, Kent England. Thomas was unmarried and born in approximately 1848, which fits the profile of a Seymour family that I am currently tracing. Thomas listed his birthplace as Bristol, Gloucester, England. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. I would particularly like to know the names of his parents.
