Emptage - William 1720 and his forbears and family
I have only been able to go back as far as William Emptage on my husband's family tree. William, I gather had something to do with the licensing trade, such as it was in those days, but know nothing more. If anyone can give details of anyone in his family I would be most grateful. His grandaughter, Frances married a Nathaniel Green (who apparently hailed from Oxford), but I can find little about him either.

red mail Taylor Freer Harvin Ormond Omond Skea Dunn
We have a JAMES H TAYLOR - born in abt. 1827 probably in Queenborough, Kent or thereabouts. In South Australia (1853) he married an Ann FREER of Uppingham, Rutland. We have also a John DUNN TAYLOR married to an ELIZABETH FREER. 'Our' Ann FREER had a sister Elizabeth b 1813. The Elizabeth FREER that we know of from Australian records was bearing children as late as 1864. James Taylor and John Taylor had sons. These sons married CALNAN sisters on Kangaroo Island. Our immediate search is to determine whether James & John were brothers, cousins or unrelated. 1. Is anyone researching or come accross James H(arvin?)Taylor 2. Is anyone aware of Taylor, HARVIN, OMOND or SKEA in the Queenborough District? Any information, insight or suggestions would be appreciated very much. Regards, Mike K
