Hi, I'm looking for my great-grandfather, Percy Newman, who was born in New Cross around 1893. He was adopted by the Newmans in Suffolk and probably given the name Percy then. I haven't been able to find a birth certificate but his mother could have been an Alice M Sparrow and his father a Hervey or Bristol, from Suffolk.

Looking for anyone with a connection to Annie Peers, my grandmother, born London,New Cross 1870. In 1901 census she is listed as the wife of William Emery, confectioner, living in Goswell Road, London, and they have 3 children. In 1905 she married William Sammons in Holborn, London and had at least two more sons, William and Frank. On her marriage certificate she says that her father is Thomas Peers, Boilermaker. I am very anxious to make contact with anyone who has a connection with this family.

Kate Ellen Brunt married John Atkins in Silverstone and moved to London in the early 1900's. They lived in Trim Street, New Cross. John worked on the railway. Kate's sister Emily or Emma Brunt married Leonard Spencer at Silverstone and also moved down to Trim Street, New Cross. Leonard was also working on the railway. They were still living there in 1929 but no trace since. Very pleased to have any info.
