red mail 1705 Elizabeth (maybe) Fairway and Thomas Pettet?
The only marriage which could be them is Elizabeth Fairway marrying Thomas Pettet on August 30, 1705. Its weird however as the couple are from Hawkshurst in Kent and the marriage record is recorded as saying they married in Mountfield, Sussex. Its true that Hawkhurst is next to Sussex although Mountfield is well to the other side of the county and if thats genuinely where they married then its unlikely its them... The children baptised in Hawkhurst Kent are John Pettet 1706 Ann PETTET 1708 Joseph Pettitt 1711 Elizabeth Pettet 1713 Daniel Pettet 1715 Marie PETTET 1718 Hannah Pettit 1721 Joseph Pettet is my ancestor- proven- and marries Margaret King at St Peter and St Paul Wadhurst. His baptism just says Joseph Pettitt parents Thomas and Elizabeth and Josephs children are Elizabeth, Thomas and Margaret. I cant tell which Elizabeth Fairway is the most likely one marrying Thomas Pettet on August 30, 1705. Name: Elizabeth Faireway Gender: Female Baptism Date: 11 Oct 1680 Baptism Place: Hawkhurst, Kent, England Father: Stephen Faireway Mother: Joan FHL Film Number: 1751870 Elizabeth Fairway Gender: Female Baptism Date: 26 Sep 1680 Baptism Place: Goudhurst, Kent, England Father: Thomas Fairway Mother: Elizabeth FHL Film Number: 1736722 Name: Elizabeth Fairway Gender: Female Baptism Date: 27 Nov 1681 Baptism Place: Brenchley, Kent, England Father: Edward Fairway Mother: Sarah Hawkes FHL Film Number: 992456 All these towns are very close together. Anyone got any ideas?

red mail Parish look -ups for Thomas & Rebecca (Bristed) COX
Thomas and Rebecca (Bristed) COX were married around 3 or 5 Nov 1765/6 in Goudhurst. I believe that they may have died there too. Possibly both in 1804. (I have 24 Dec and 26 April, 1804) as possibilities. Is there a gravestone? What is written in the record/on gravestone? What is recorded on the marriage register? I believe their children were all chr. there. Was their daughter Rebecca chr. on 14 January or June in 1769? Who were her siblings? Thank-you for any help.
