I have traced some of my early ancestors who lived at 34 Tovil Hill Cottages East Farleigh. John was the head of the house in the 1841 Census. He with wife Elizabeth, had 5 children Augustus, Louisa, Anna, Caroline, and Harriet. Augustus William was the first of four other generations with this christian name, direct descendants to me, another John, on the family tree. Would like to know any info re further generations,births,deaths,wives,maiden names, wedding year etc.

John Rayfield of East Farleigh ran the Rose Inn, East Farleigh, Tovil. He was a victualler from at least 1817-1834. He was born around 1789 and married Ann who was born arond 1780. They had 6 children, John, Mary, George, Charles, Elizabeth and Charlotte. Ann died in 1825. John then married Sarah and had 4 children by her Sarah, Frances, William and Thomas. Do these names mean anything to anyone?

Sophia and Benjamin Streeter, born 1818 and 1821, children of Elizabeth and the Late Stephen Streeter. Sophia was born in the Cox Heath Work House. It is presumed that their actual father was William Streeter, older brother of the Late Stephen. Other children of Stephen and Elizabeth Streeter were Stephen (1804), Thomas (1807), Sarah (1808), James (1811), Amelia (1813) and William Henry (1814) possibly stillborn.
