His oldest son was named William and he also had a daughter, Ann, possibly named after his parents. His occupation was papermaker (1841 census for Maidstone). HENRY HOLLOWAY -BUILDER
Looking for anyone who has a connection with Henry Leonard HOLLOWAY and Georgina Diana HOLLOWAY nee WALTER. Henry was born at Hawksbury Upton, Wilts. c1836, Georgina was born Littleton Drew, c1837 They were married in the Chipping Sodbury area c1860. By 1871 they had moved to London and were living at 180 Queens Rd. Deptford where they continued to live for the next 20+years before moving to 16 High Street, Lewisham. Henry was a Carpenter and it appears a successful one as by 1881 he was employing 26 men and three boys. Henry and Georgina had ten children, Henry L, Sarah A, Orlando A, Clara L, Minnie G, Florence A, Maude A, William E, Walter G, and Frederick. Georgina's brother Charles WALTER was living nearby at 66 Shadeloes Road, Deptford. I would like to make contact with anyone having knowledge of the Children, Georgina was a Younger sister of my 2x Gr. Grandmother, Louisa Jane WALTER who settled in New Zealand.

Maria Elizabeth Stark m George Rothwell, married April 1871, my great grandparents. Maria was born in Deptford, I do not know any detais before this apart from her date of birth and Edward Street, Deptford in 1847. They married in Summerseat, Lancashire and I think they they lived in Ramsbottom, Lancashire. Maria had at least two brothers and a sister, but I do not know if there were more. Robert Pakenham Williams (b1847- Dublin) married Eliza Kerry (b1847- Islington) in 1868. They moved to Deptford (Kent) where they had 6 children George, Leonard, Kathleen, William, Ethel and Frank. Robert Williams was a Baptist preacher and was associated with the Seaman’s mission in Deptford. By profession he was a watchmaker and amateur scientist, specialising in microscopy. Kathleen died at the age of 12. George and Leonard became ‘Lightermen and Watermen’ on the river Thames. Robert came to England with his Sister Mary, possibly as an orphan, but probably with his father, his mother having died in Dublin. Any details that can be provided regarding descendants of Robert, or his parentage, would be highly appreciated.

I have the Carroll family in 1841 census at Regent Street, Lewisham but cannot find them in 1851. Sarah is at Regent Street, Deptford St Paul in 1881 and 1891. Is this the same street? What happened to the other Carroll children? I have marriages for Emma bn 1822 and Charles bn 1834 but nothing for the other 9. Any help would be great.

William and Elizabeth had twins Richard & George b 1799, William 1801 Elizabeth 1803 Emma 1806 Maria 1806, Sophia 1808 Frederick 1810 & Mary 1813. All children were born at Deptford and baptised At St. Pauls. Richard married Eliza Sheppard at St. Pauls, and George married Caroline Sheppard at St. Nicholas. George and Richard were Master Mariners. Sophia came to Sydney, Australia with her brother Richard, his wife and 2 children on the "Mary Jane" c 1837. William Banks occupation at the time of his children's birth was "Master of Charity School" and later "Master of Free School". They lived in Butt Lane Deptford.Richard and Eliza Banks' daughter, Elizabeth was born on 18/10/1827 at Bloomfield Place Deptford. Dearly love to hear from anyone researching these names.
