Edward Humphrey of Seal, married Eliza Baker of Brasted in Poplar, 1881. They had three children, James, William and Emma. Eliza left Edward in about 1889 taking Emma (born 1888) with her. Eliza died in 1894 having given birth to two more girls, Violet 1891 and Lily 1894. Both of them were registered as Humphrey. In the 1901 Census we find Emma, Violet and Lily living with their Uncle John Baker and wife Phyllis in Brasted. What happened to Emma, Violet and Lily? Any help/news would be much appreciated.
