red mail Simons in Fenstanton
I am descended from William SIMONS, born in Fenstanton in 1813. He married Maria DARKINS, who was from St Ives, I believe. I'd very much like to hear from anybody who can provide a clue as to whom Williams parents were; I suspect another William and an Elizabeth RUTTER, but I'm not sure. Any DARKINS info also welcomed. John

red mail HALL in Fenstanton
I have been able to trace my family roots to Fenstanton, where at least three generations were born. Can anyone help me trace any further back than 1791? Known family members are as follow: John Hall, a chelsea pensioner, was born ca. 1790/1 married to Elizabeth Wilson born ca. 1801 The couple had two sons John, 1822 and Matthew 1827. Matthew married Jane Whitmore (also from Fenstanton), born ca 1827, died 1857. Matthew remarried Louisa Chidlow born ca. 1839 in Banbury, Cheshire. In all Matthew had 8 children: Henry John 1847, Robert Moden 1850 were born in Fenstanton. The family then moved to Aston, Birmingham, where Elizabeth 1855, George 1852, , Louisa 1857 and Lomas also 1857 were conceived with Jane. Mary Jane 1862, Harriet 1863 were with his second wife, Louisa. Henry John married Precilla Smith born ca 1854 in Brampton, Huntingdonshire. The couple also moved to Aston, Birmingham, where they had four children: Matthew John 1847, Clara 1873, Ada 1878, Mary Jane 1881. If anyone could provide further information, most especially regarding John's parents, my family would be very gratefull! Thanks.

red mail SEE in FENSTANTON
FREDERICK SEE was born in Amner (?) Norfolk abt. 1808, and married MARTHA STEVENS, born in Fenstanton in 1830. Martha's father was JOHN STEVENS, and her mother SARAH ASPLIN. Martha and Frederic had four children that I know of: HENRY c1831 who married an ELIZABETH born in Westminster; FREDERIC c1835; MARTHA c.1838 who married ROBERT ARCHIBALD HILL of Clerkenwell; and CHARLES, c1841 who was Witness at Martha's marriage. The See family seems at least partially to have moved to London. Martha was my great-grandmother. Any information on any of these families gratefully received.
