red mail NORRIS, Wheathampstead
John NORRIS married Sarah Finch in 1763: they had six sons (no daughters): the youngest, David, b1782, was my 3xgt grandfather: he moved to Great Gaddesden, then Widford, and finally Ivinghoe. I can not trace John's origins: he may have come from Gt Gaddesden, and if so, the CHENNELs family may be the link. Donald
red mail Merkins
I think Cahrles Merkin was born in Harpenden, and married there on 03 Nov 1808. He married Sarah Southam, from Rickmansworth, their son William born 1811 in Weathamstead, married Martha Grey in Aug 1834 and had several children, all in Wheathampstead, among them Mary who married Thomas Smith of Harpenden. Does anyone have anything to share about these people? Thank you Marion
