George was born in Pirton in 1831 and died 12/12/1858 in Lucknow, India. This was around the time of the Sepoy Mutiny and the seige of Lucknow. I have not been able to find any details of his death, does anyone know about George?

Am looking for GGGG grandparents, GGG grandparents were Daniel (b.1818)and Eliza Goldsmith (1822) but cant get back any further although I have found loads of Goldsmiths in the 17th & 16th centuries, but no links. As far as I know, they originated in Hitchin. Also looking for parents of John (1833) and Caroline (1832) Carter, John was born in Hexton, but resided in Pirton by the time of the 1851 census, but had moved back to Hexton by 1881, and I assume he died there. Any information would be gratefully received.
