Looking for any details of the Goodson family in Much Hadham/Hadham around 1800. I have a Stephen Goodson and possibly his 3 children, Charlotte, Eliza and Leonard. The latter two children lived with John Batt and his wife Ann nee Tabraham in Cheshunt in the 1841 census, I believe that John was the children's uncle and their mother Susannah nee Batt had died. Stephen Goodson was later imprisioned and sentenced to deportation, he was deported in 1839 and died in Hobart in 1856. Charlotte was my ggg/m, she married a John Wilson in 1845 who died shortly afterwards. In 1851 census she was a housekeeper to a Peter Scheydt, a German wine importer and had a daughter by him in 1856, Eliza Esther Wilson. She married Frederick Howe in 1877.

looking for a Jonas PATMORE supposed to be born in this village or Albury around 1725. He went on to marry a Sarah RIGHT of Takeley. I'm guessing they then moved to Ugley as their son Thomas was born there in 1746. Would love to find more precise BMD dates for this couple (christenings good too). Plus anything about their parents or siblings. . Thanks for any help you can give

I realise there are a lot of Warner's from the Much Hadham area, but am particularly interested in Joseph and Mary Ann (nee Uncle) Warner(married 1868). What happened to them? Their son William seems to have left the area to go on the railways and they were not witnesses to his wedding. was life particularly difficult in Much Hadham at the time?

I am trying to find out more about my ancestor Jabez Uncle born in 1814. He married Mary Ann Anson, but I can't find the actual marriage. I can guess their parents were William and Sarah Uncle & John and Anne Anson, but am not sure. I've discovered that Jabez lost a hand before 1843, was in court in 1843, but not a lot else. Any information gratefully received.

Looking for the family of Elizabeth CLAPTON, believed to have been born circa 1785. She married John ADLINGTON in April 1806 in Tottenham, Middlsex, where she apent the rest of her married life. Elizabeth had a niece, Mary CAPP b. circa 1813, but nothing known about how Mary connects with Elizabeth.

I should be glad of any information about my GGGGG Grandfather, James Anson who married Mary Patmore in Much Hadham in 1778. He died in Much Hadham in 1805, but I don't know where he was born or anything about his ancestors.

Does anyone have an Emma Fox born in about 1875. Her father Charles was a soldier. She had her first child Beatrice Christina White at Hadham Cross in June 1905 but was married the previous year in the New Forest where her husband William came from - though he worked as a coachman in Albury.

My ancestor James KENT was born Sept. 21, 1776 in Much Hadham, died Sept. 1821 in Bishops Stortford; married Elizabeth WOOD, who was born in Bishops Stortford Dec. 7, 1780, died there Nov. 26, 1826.
