red mail West Worldham - (West Worldham - Hampshire)
My great great great grandparents were living at West Worldham on the 1841 census. My ggggrandfather was a labourer called Thomas Bone c1794-1799 (depending what census you read) and Sarah Bone nee Stanton (c1802-1805, also known as Leah as written on 1841 census sheet) depending what census you read. Sarah would have been in her late teens-early twenties when or if she married, still trying to trace confirmation of this. On the 1841 census they show they have a total of eight children Ann c1824, George c1826, William c1828 Martha c1830 Louisa c1832, Mary c1835 and Thomas c1838, Eli c1840 I do not know whether all these children were Thomas and Sarahs, as they may have adopted some along the way. Some of the older children did not move with Thomas and Sarah in 1839/40 (before the 1841 census), around the time after the cholera outbreak in Hampshire so assume were either dead from infant mortality, or older to be independant and stayed in Hampshire or further afield. The family moved to St. Lukes, Finsbury, London, where Thomas (now called John), and Leah/Sarah lived; they then had a further group of children Benjamin c1833, (appears not to be 1841 census, could have been brought up from Hampshire as an adoptee), Henry 1839, William c1841 my grandfather and James c1845. I WOULD BE GRATEFUKL IF ANYONE COULD TELL ME THOMAS OR SARAHs' PARENTAGE, OR WHERE TO LOOK Thats what I THINK IS CORRECT. But if anyone out there can update, correct me or direct to anywhere where I may find anymore info, I would certainly appreciate it thanxs
