Trying to find if William Alderman born in Leckford 22/03/1840 is the same person as William Gilbert Alderman who married Sarah Ann Harrison 05/11/1876 in Leckford and who died 23/05/1891 Horsell Surrey. 1891 Census has him being 50 years old and birthplace as Leckford. I think this possible birth record is the most likely one but can't seem to find any definite connection. Is there anything else I can try to confirm if it is the same person? Thanks!

I would appreciate any info about Richard Padwick b c 1830. He married Mary Chapman and had several children, the youngest of whom, Emily b 1884 d 1960, was my paternal grandmother. Family tradition has it the family had origins in Ireland, possibly Dublin, although it appears Richard was born in Hampshire. I have been unable to trace the family in the 1851 or 1861 census entries. Any help gratefully received and any info I have will be passed on too! Thanks

My Grandfather, William Napoleon Brambleby, was a non-conformist minister, born 2 May 1887 in St Giles, London. At one time, he had a chapel in Hastings. He died 23 Feb 1971 and is buried in St Ann's Hill cemetary, Gosport. His wife, Minnie Maud Brambleby (nee Mack or MacMaster)was born c.1885, & died 25 Sept 1955, also buried in St Ann's Hill cemetary. They kept a small private hotel called 'Sunny Nook', in Lee on Solent. Any information gratefully received.

Does anyone remember, or have any information about the family of A. Hall b. 1892in Buriton? He owned and ran the "White Hart Auto Repair Depot" in Liphook. I have a photo taken in 1935 of the depot plus a shop attached with the name A.Hall over the window. I can't make out what the items in the window are, but it does look like clothing. Arthur had two younger brothers, William, who I believe emigrated to Canada, and Frederick. There was also a sister,Zoe, married to Henry Rose, and they lived in Basingstoke. They were my grandparents. The last I heard of the Hall family was in 1944 when I was 6 yrs old and they attended my grandmother's funeral. My mother was Zoe and Henry's daughter Mary Louise. She was married to John Stanley Roe.

When she was about 30 years she seems to have disappeared. One of her children was my Grandfather who became a policeman and eventually resided at Wickham Nr Fareham Hants.
