Has anyone any knowledge or information about kennels (for the hounds from the local hunt), which were in Sutton Scotney (or near), Probably between 1890 and 1940?(Or perhaps they are still there?) I believe my paternal great grandad was Master of Foxhounds at sometime during that period. His name was John Roe. Also tracing descendants of Richard Roake, my paternal great grandfather.

William was born in 1895 to Alfred and Kate(nee Smallbones) Butcher in Sutton Scotney, Andover. He was afflicted the Downs Syndrome. He had a an older brother Hubert b. 1892,and a sister Beatrice b. 1894. Alfred married Belinda Ann Skiton in 1915. Alfred died 1925. Belinda married William Self in 1927; he died 1932. Belinda cared for William till her death 1942. William may have been a patient at Knowle, Fareham. When and how did he die?
Samuel Channing
Searching for information on Samuel Channing and family. He was head gardener on the estate of J Arthur Rank from about 1920 - 1944. He had one son Walter (Bob)and later married his second wife Elizabeth Evans who was born in S/Scotney. Walter liked to swim in the River Dever at the 'White', which was on right hand side of the Bullington Road leaving S/Scotney. The 'White' features in my Kindle book - River Submarine and I would love to know if it still exists.
