My maternal grandmother, Clara Louisa Matthews was born in Selborne in 1877 and had two bothers, Thomas Arford George Matthews and Harry Matthews. Harry stayed living in the village until his death in 1959 and there is a brass plaque in St Mary's church stating he was a member of the choir for 70 years. I would be pleased to here from anyone who has any other information about the Matthews family in Selborne

Frances Wells/Collins owned property in Selborne and Greatham. It is believed she left her estate to a nephew Henry Wells NASH who had a son Charles COLLINS NASH and they lived in WORPLESDON area of Guildford.
