red mail Walbridge, Caplin mid-1700's
I now have Jemima Walbridge's parents. Now can we go back another generation? Thomas WALBRIDGE married Elizabeth CAPLIN 13 September 1767 in Petersfield, Hampshire Their children were probably born in 'Sheet' an small area linked with Petersfield: 1) Hannah born 2 Feb 1768 and chr. 13 Mar 1768. 2) Jemima born 2 Jun 1779 and chr. 04 Jul 1770 3) Elizabeth born 14 May 1771 and chr. 29 May, married Robert Budd 27 Feb, 1791 in Petersfield, Children Elizabeth (1791), Mary Ann (1793), Robert (1795), Henry (1797) 4) Joseph born 22 May 1777 and christened 15 Jun Died 10 April 1798 5) John born 1 August 1782 and chr. 3 Sept. Looks like Thomas died 29 May 1783 in Petersfield. When were Thomas Walbridge and Elizabeth Caplin christened (c. 1745)? Who were their parents? Who were their siblings? When did EC die? Did she perhaps remarry after Thomas' death and so has another surname? Thanks for any help.
red mail Philps/ Walbridge 1770's
John PHILPS and Jemima Walbridge were married here in 1798 (was it 24 Jun or January)? They are likely to have been local. Is there any christening for Jemima on 2 Jun 1770? Who were her parents? Are there other siblings? If her parents were married in P. - when? what was her mother's maiden name? ... Is there a christening for John PHILPS (could have numerous spellings incl. Philp, Phillips, Philips...) in c. 1792? Who were his parents, sibilings, parents marriage date (mother's maiden...)? Thank you so much for any help.
