Our 3x greatgrandmother was Sarah Smith born a twin to John and Sarah Smith (Sweetman) on 31/7/1806 Her twin was Mary Ann. The Smith family lived in HURSTBOURNE TARRANT Hampshire and had the following children. Joihn and Sarah Sweetman married in March 1795 and had first son BENJAMIN IN june 1795. followed by Susanah 1796, William1798, Mary 1800, Jane1803, Mary Ann & Sarah 1806, Charlotrte 1808, Charles 1812, Hannah 1814. In 1816 a John Smith married a Sarah Bowley but we cannot find a death for 1st wife Sarah Smith Sweetman. Our Sarah Smith married our Stephen lawes in Burcghclere in 1833. We thought maybe they were servants etc at Highclere Castle estate. On some censuses Sarah Lawes is shown as being born in Up Hurstbourne. whereever that is? If anyone knows of this family please get in touch to share info. Thankyou
