red mail Gray connection
I am looking for the baptism of Archibald Gray who says he was born in Moyles Court in or about 1821 in later censuses. He married Eliza Oliver daughter of George. Since he doesn't appear on indexes I am wondering if he was born elsewhere before his parents moved to Moyles Court or maybe was illegitimate. Can anyone shed any light on Archibald please?
red mail Cross lanes Chapel Mockbeggar
I am interested in any information or photographs of this chapel between the period 1906 to 2000 particularly the war years 1939 to 1945
red mail Moyles court
I am descended from Frances (Fanny) Burt born 1806 to Charles Burt (a carpenter) and Mary Arnold who lived in Bemerton/Fugglestone (Wilts) from 1790 to around 1820. Charles died in 1838 in Barford St Martin. I believe he may have come from Wimborne St Giles in Dorset but cannot trace him properly. Frances later married George Oliver at Ibsley in Hampshire, who was the gamekeeper at Moyles court 1820-50. any help would be appreciated.
red mail Olivers at Moyles Court
One of my ancestors was George Oliver, gamekeeper at Moyles Court in the early 19th century. Any information about the Olivers from here would be much appreciated. I have traced both him and his wife back in time but would like to know where the other siblings went. His eldest son John became a gamekeeper too. Walter and Martha went to London, and are connected to the Forbes family in Islington.
