hi everyone trying to find out about a George h symonds he married a Gladys edith (molly) woodford in 1929 she was 16 at the time so caused a bit of a scandal,however the marriage did not last,not sure how long they were married but Gladys married again in 1953,dont need to know about her but need to find out more about my grandad George he had a son (my father) in 1929 his name was john t symonds,george was head gardener in hatfield house in herts at some stage but I don't kow when he was born or came from would love to find info on him,my father and mother both dead john died 2005 thanks

hi everyone can you help on the birth place of a james dennis Sidney smith,he was born on 9th November 1924,his mother was Bessie smith,he was born out of wedlock,bessie was born in bolder around 1904 when she married in 1932 it was in lymington so never moved from the area which means jim must have been born locally but cannot find anything,i did find a death for a mr james dennis Sidney smith in 2013 in malmesbury Wiltshire which fits but a birth place would be great if anyone can help

The best I have found,so far, is a Parish Record of Levi Rickman baptised in 1786 at Boldre,Married Ann Kitcher 9 Oct 1808,Died 1858.I believe his son was called William also born in Boldre circa 1811. Maria Mintern baptised 10th May 1835 at St John Boldre. Parents Thomas and Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Maria are in Lymington Workhouse on the 1841 census. Elizabeth remarries as a widow in 1847 Does anyone know what happened to Thomas ? Burial not found in any village in the Lymington registration district.

William Charles (b. 1820) and his wife, Ann had 7 children: William (b.1845); Julia Anne (b.1847 and married Walter Henry Chafen; Margaret (b. 1852 and was still single at age 28); Harry (b. 1856 and married 1st to Sarah Griffiths and 2nd to Annie Dickson); John (b. 1861 and left for Australia in the 1880's. 32 Extract from the Rev Mr Gilpin's account of the new poorhouse at Boldre in Hampshire. by Bp of Durham. pp 244-254 Dated 10th March 1798. The old poor-house at Boldre being a wretched place, and havingbeen managed without any economy, at a great expence, it was determined at a vestry, held in the year 1792, to build a new one on a better site; to put in a respectable master and mistress; and to give the overlookingof it to a monthly committee of the gentlemen farmers of the parish. Accordingly they borrowed the sum of £800, and bought a piece of ground, about two acres and a half; elevated, dry, and airy; here they erected the house, at a little distance from the road; and yet near enough to be under the constant eye of observation. It is built substantially of brick; single, that the air may have free passage through it, and extending about82 feet in front and 20 in breadth. These dimensions give an excellent work-room on the right as you enter; and on the left, a kitchen and a back kitchen; the master's room, which is also the committee room, about 18 f...
