HELLO ALL. I am researching with two other family member the Lawes family of both Ramsdell, Monk Sherborne and Basingstoke. We are connected to Rose, Annie and Sarah who were the daughters of Stephen and Susan Lawes of Hollybush Lane Ramsdell. At the moment we are trying to find descendants of Arthur James Lawes and Albert Edward who are sons of Stephen and Susan.. Arthur lived in Monk Sherborne and later Merton Road Basingstoke.. Arthur was born in 1893 and died in 1971. I am hoping his daughter Christine, Iris and Doris(Eileen) still live in Basingstoke and may like to help us with our research. We have an old photo whom we think is Albert Edward but so far no confirmation. Please would anyone connection to this family get in touch and we would be happy to share our information. Many thanks

I am looking for the family of Joseph who married Elizabeth Bradshaw. They lived in London then seemed to have moved about 1857 to Basingstoke where I believe they had Ernest, Percy, Sidney and Maria. I can't find them on any Census. I think that Joseph died in 1868 in Camberwell, Surrey. Maybe I'm linking two different families. Can anyone help?

They had 3 Sons and 1 daughter Albert Cooksey Alfred Thomas Cooksey Arthur John Cooksey Emily Cooksey married Georg Williams in Basingstoke.Alfred and Arthur Died in 1954 and 1955 in Basingstoke,Albert we dont know. Albert and Emily immigrated to Canada,so did Harriet. Harriet is buried in Toronto,we did not find Emily or Albert,maby they came back to Basingstoke. Hope someone can help Rosie

Widowed 1844. remarried William White1846, at St Joseph's church Southampton. Lucy ( seamstress )died 1888, William( carpenter )died 1864. Can anyone throw any light on Lucy please!!

In 1823 Jacob Pidgeon (b 1802) married Eliza Pritchard (b 1801). They must have been happy in their marriage as they went on to have 13 children. One of whom was a daughter Sarah. She married George Cooper in 1857 and they moved to Western Australia, arriving in the same year on the City of Bristol. I'd love to learn more as they are my husbands great grand-parents. THANKS

Looking for children/grandchildren of ALBERT W J TARRANT and FLORENCE ROSE BOND who married in 1911 in what was then Basingstoke Berkshire. One child was called ALBERT G TARRANT born in 1912. Trying to find Mary Elizabeth Victoria Tarrant, born between 1850 and 1856 possibly from the Basingstoke area. She married, or ran off with, a Newfoundland Canada seaman, Archibald Butt(s), and they settled in Boston, MA, USA. Both she (she died of epilepsy) and her husband (he died of heart disease) died in Boston in 1887, leaving five orphaned children. Trying to confirm the story her older children remembered her telling about having relatives in England that disowned her.

Her death certificate said her fathers name was william trotman and that he lived in england, but the rest I can't read. So at this point I am guessing her maiden name was trotman, before it became draper. beatrice was born dec 20 1888, peter draper was 1887.
