My probable Great Great Grandmother, SARAH HUMPHRIS, the (Spurious) daughter of ANN HUMPHRIS, was baptised, on 23 October 1803, at St. Peters Parish Church, WITHINGTON, Gloucestershire. SARAH HUMPHRIS married my Great Great Grandfather, FRANCIS PORTER, on 19 December 1829, also at St. Peters Parish Church, WITHINGTON. My Gx3 Grandmother, ANN HUMPHRIS, who was baptised, on 23 July 1780, also at WITHINGTON Parish Church, was the daughter of JOHN HUMPHRIS and and ELIZABETH SAMPSON. My Gx4 PROBABLEGrandfather, John Humphris, the son of WILLIAM and BETTY HUMPHRIS was baptised, on 8 March 144, at STRATTON Parish Church, Gloucestershire.

Hi, I'm looking for any info on the George Fletcher family of Woolason Woodside, He and wife Eliza (Elizabeth) were living there in 1851 census (farm laborer). They had sons John (g-g-grandfather), Alfred, George, Joseph and daughters Sarah, Emily, and Armidai. John and family moved to U.S.A. in 1871. George's father and mother, John and Margaret also living in Woolaston in 1851. Any help greatfully appreciated.

Her parents were William & Eliza & her grandparents John & Hannah.The family name is spelt as Carnes in 1841 census. Also, 1841 census states John came from Scotland, but where? Any help appreciated.

Looking for any Godwins in the area of Wyck Rissington Stowe on the Wold area.My family are from John Godwin who married Elizabeth Clifford in Wyck Rissington in 1776.He raised a family including Joseph who was born in 1781who married Joyce Eeles in Swinbrook in 1805.I have a great deal of information on the Clifford family history as i belong to the Clifford Association but as John is the earliest person i can find in the Godwin family i would love to hear from anyone who could tell me if there were anymore Godwins in that area and if his parents came from that area as i have hit a dead end here.

So she was born in 1814 or 1815. She was living with herHusband, my Great Great Grandfather, RICHARD SLY, who was also 36 years old and was born in NORTHLEACH, Gloucestershire. In the same household was my Great Grandfather, ROBERT SLY, 13, and his Siblings, JOHN SLY, 10, and MARY ANN SLY, 5, who were allborn in CHELTENHAM. Richard Sly married Jane Eliza Kinch, on 29 March 1837, at St. Mary's Parish Church, Cheltenham. Robert Sly was baptised, on 1 July 1838, also at St. Mary's Parish Church, Cheltenham.
