red mail Fairbrother Taylor Summerhayes 1881 Census
Searching for details on Kate FAIRBROTHER born approx 1858. In 1881 Census she is listed as being 23 yo and a parlourmaid working for Thomas D TAYLOR and residing as Hillside House Redland Road Westbury on Trym. She is seen in the 1871 and 1861 census as Elizabeth Fairbrother and living with her mother Elizabth, father Robert and sister Laura Augusta Fairbrother. She migrated to Australia in 1886 and married John SUMMERHAYES. Any information at all would be appreciated - inc information on the district or the family she worked for. Thank you.
red mail Tribe family
My gg-grandmother was Fanny Tribe, supposedly born in Bradford-on-Avon in 1822. Unfortunately, an exhaustive search has not revealed her in the 1841 census (which might show her parents or siblings); she is, however, present in the 1851 with her husband Elijah Close. There are very few with the surname of Tribe in Wiltshire, and I am interested in contact with anyone who can help piece together the family groups. The connection with Westbury is that the IGI lists some baptisms of Tribes which could well include that of Fanny.
red mail Lewis
My husband's Great Grandfather Frederick LEwis was Station Porter then Station Master living at Railway Crossing, Westbury on Trym in the late 1800's. I would be grateful for any information regarding the family.

Thomas Family Of Westbury 18c
I am very interested in a Charles Thomas of Westbury, bapt 1735, whose parents were Joseph and Elizabeth. This family seems to have been quite extensive and may have been quite important locally. I think that one of my ggg g/fs, Dr. Joseph Thomas b.1769, may have been the son of this Charles. Charles possibly married Mary Nicholas in Bristol in 1767.
